   • One red femail to male banana plug (gold)

Notes and tests:

1. First, check that the high voltage knob is turned all the way down (ie. fully counter-clockwise).  Turn on the power supply.  Wait at least one minute while the filament heats up.  If you look inside the bulb near the base, you can see the filament glowing
   After the filament has warmed up, slowly increase the voltage until you see rings on the screen (white circle on the bulb).  You may need to turn the accelerating voltage up to 4.0 kV initially.  After you see rings, you can decrease the voltage and do the experiment.  Range of accelerating voltage used for the experiment: between 2.5 and 5.5 kV.
